Updating an earlier item, New York Yankees third baseman Miguel Andujar could miss the rest of the 2019 season after being diagnosed with a torn labrum in his shoulder. Andujar was placed on the IL earlier in the day on Monday after injuring the shoulder during Sunday's game and subsequent testing revealed the tear. Right now the plan is for Andujar to rest and hope the shoulder heals enough for him to get back onto the field but surgery has not been ruled out as well which would finish him for 2019. Either way, this is about as big a disaster as you can get for Andujar, the Yankees, and his fantasy baseball owners. Already lauded for advanced hitting ability during a spectacular rookie debut in 2018 when he smacked 27 home runs, Andujar is a gigantic loss given his ability with the bat.
