Already dealing with a slew of injuries and a series loss to the woeful Baltimore Orioles, the New York Yankees will place slugging outfielder Giancarlo Stanton on the IL Monday with a left biceps strain. No word yet on the severity but Clint Frazier will be promoted in his place.
Analysis: Already without Luis Severino, CC Sabathia, and Dellin Betances, the Yanks now lose their hulking slugger which will leave a major hole in the lineup. Those in deep leagues can take a stab on Frazier but otherwise this mostly serves as a major loss for Stanton' s fantasy baseball owners.
