2018 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: ROBINSON CANO LIKELY OUT UNTIL JULY AFTER SUFFERING FRACTURED HAND DUE TO HBP

The dreaded "HBP to hand" claimed another victim Sunday and it was a big one as we found out that Seattle Mariners perennial All-Star second baseman Robinson Cano suffered a fracture in hand after getting drilled there with a pitch versus the Detroit Tigers.  The fact a break was discovered makes it all but a certainty that Cano will be out until July given the typical timeline of recovery here and his loss is a significant one as he was hitting .289 with 4 home runs and 23 RBI at the time.  While Cano has lost a bit of his game at the age of 35, his bat was still in fine working order to hold down daily fantasy baseball status but now that goes by the wayside after suffering the break.  Cano is still a stash even in deeper formats given the fact he gets better as the season goes on but chalk this up to yet another big injury in a season filled with them already.
