2018 FANTASY FOOTBALL BREAKING NEWS: BRANDIN COOKS TRADED TO THE RAMS

Having already secured some big-time pieces on the defensive side of the ball, the Los Angeles Rams pulled off another blockbuster trade late Tuesday when they acquired wideout Brandin Cooks from the New England Patriots.  After arriving with the Pats in a much-hyped trade a year ago, Cooks was a decent disappointment for both the team and his fantasy football owners in 2017 as he caught 65 passes for 1,082 yards and 7 scores.  This despite the fact he had Tom Brady at QB and the Pats were down slot dynamo Julian Edelman for the whole season.  He will now go to his third team in three seasons, with the Rams sending a first and a sixth round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft as compensation.  Certainly a boost to the fantasy football value of QB Jared Goff, Cooks will be a WR 2 until he proves otherwise in his new home.
