2018 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY WATCH: YANKEES' OUTFIELD A MEDICAL MESS

It seemed like New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone devoted his entire pre-game meeting with reporters to the team's massive outfield injuries; so widespread has been the medical problems surrounding this group.  There are a number of fantasy baseball-related items worth discussing here so lets get to it:

-We already knew that Jacoby Ellsbury was one of the most injury-prone players in the game but now things are getting ridiculous.  Already on the DL with an oblique strain suffered in mid-March, Ellsbury now reportedly is also dealing with some hip pain as well.  A fading veteran who is losing numbers everywhere, it looks like Ellsbury won't be back to the team until May at this rate.

-Clint Frazier has progressed to running the bases for the Yankees in extended spring training as he takes baby steps recovering what has turned out to be a serious concussion during exhibition play.  Boone did say Frazier is close to playing in games but there is no path right now for promotion with Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and Brett Garder the firm outfield starters.

-Aaron Hicks is the third member of the walking wounded in terms of the Yankees' outfielders and he had some good developments take place Tuesday as Boone said he is scheduled to hit off a tee and do some throwing.  Hicks has been on the DL since right after the start of the season with his own oblique strain but it sounds like he may be able to return when first eligible to come off the DL next week.  Hopefully, you kept Hicks around as he remains a very solid OF 3 in terms of fantasy baseball.
