2018 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY WATCH: ROUGNED ODOR DL-BOUND WITH ONGOING HAMSTRING TROUBLE

Texas Rangers second baseman Rougned Odor was one of the more polarizing players for 2018 fantasy baseball as he came off a 2017 season that saw his batting average plummeted to a ghastly .204 but on the flip side, impressed with 30 home runs and 75 RBI with 15 steals.  While the power/speed game was certainly impressive for a 24-year-old, Odor's utter lack of any sort of plate discipline was a major problem that needed to be remedied.  Thus, a good start to 2018 was needed but early on it was more of the same as Odor carried a .204 average with 0 home runs after flying out in his first at-bat Monday night.  It was then where Odor began limping with another bout of hamstring trouble that first flared up in spring training.  Said to be in decent pain after the game, Odor will likely be placed on the 10-day DL Tuesday as a result.  So already Odor's jaded fantasy baseball owners are being put in a bad spot with him given the early lack of results and the injury on top of it.  As tough as it may be to do, the best option still is to hold Odor onto your DL spot as he is still a highly capable 30/15 player who has some years of upside remaining.
