2018 FANTASY BASEBALL BREAKING INJURY NEWS: RYON HEALY LANDS ON THE DL WITH A RIGHT ANKLE SPRAIN

It has been a rough season so far on the health front for Seattle Mariners 1B/3B Ryon Healy who dealt with a spring surgery to remove a bone spur from his hand and now has been placed on the 10-day DL due to a right ankle sprain.  In between the injuries, Healy has hit just .091 without a single home run for the Mariners who gave no update on when he may be able to return.  For now, Dan Voglebach figures to inherit Healy's at-bats and he carries just minimal fantasy baseball value in AL-only leagues.

Analysis:  Tough go of it for Healy early on but he is still a 25-home run bat that will get going before too long.  Of course, there is no sense holding onto him in shallow leagues as no one will be looking to add him at this point given the injuries and the rough start.  In terms of long-term this season, Healy will eventually be a help so keep tabs on his progress.
