Indianapolis, IN.--The 2018 NFL Combine is underway and the measurements have begun.  In addition, the free agency rumors are flying so let's get right to it.

-Louisville QB Lamar Jackson came in at 6-2 and 216 pounds.  Very solidly built and of course Jackson has tremendous physical tools.  The question is whether or not he is Kordell Stewart or Antwan Randle-El.

-Baker Mayfield came in at 6-0 and 215.  Hands measured in at 9 1/4.  Mayfield has been compared to Drew Brees but he is slightly bigger which can be considered a plus.  Miami Dolphins and New York Jets continue to be mentioned here as possible candidates to draft him.

-USC QB Sam Darnold measures 6-3 and 221.  Hands at 9 3/8.  Darnold has a tremendous build that can take an NFL pounding and the tools are all there.  Just needs to be more disciplined in his decision-making according to executives here.

-The Indianapolis Colts continue to vow that Andrew Luck will be ready to go for the opener and that they have little interest in using their first-round pick on a passer.

-Nothing has changed in terms of the personnel gurus here expecting the Cleveland Browns to go with Josh Allen number 1.

-New York Giants GM Dave Gettleman is a popular figure here as the team is giving off mixed signals about whether they will take Penn State QB Saquon Barkley or USC QB Sam Darnold.  The Giants have completely gone quiet on any Josh Rosen rumors as they are concerned about not only him dealing with the NY market but also his concussion issues.

-Kirk Cousins to the Minnesota Vikings is all you are hearing here.  The Jets are prepared to open the vault but the Vikes give Cousins the best chance to win quickly and possibly win big.

-All signs continue to point to the Saints and Drew Brees getting a two-year deal done shortly.
