-Those who had interest in value play fantasy baseball outfielder Eddie Rosario may have to temp some expectations as they signing of Logan Morrison may push him down to the sixth spot in the order.  That means fewer at-bats and fewer counting statistics for Rosario who homered on Friday.

-I have said all along that Washington Nats ace Max Scherzer should be picked ahead of Clayton Kershaw in 2018 fantasy baseball drafts given his superior durability and insane power numbers and Friday showed why as he punched out five in 3 IP in his second spring start.

-Ronald Acuna is now 7-for-his-last-10 at the dish as he smacked his first spring homer on Friday.  Reach for the stars here as Acuna is a monster five-tool star who has a tremendous chance to be a first-round pick next season.

-Miguel Cabrera is off to a much-needed fast start this March as he is now 5-for-13 after picking up two more hits Friday.  The back is the story here and so far it seems Cabrera is feeling good.  If he can keep this up, there could be some swell value play at work here.

-Andrew Benintendi smacked a homer and a double Friday and the hope is he will hold onto the second spot in the order for the Boston Red Sox in 2018.  If that is the case, Benintendi could be a five-tool stud.

-Masahiro Tanaka was shelled Friday as he gave up four runs in just 1.1 IP and it is a reminder of how terribly he pitched the first half of 2017.  Homers are a problem for Tanaka which makes every start a potential problem but his status as an SP is secure.

-Manny Machado is dominating with the bat this spring like few players can as he hit another homer (his second of the spring) Friday and is now 8-for-13.  Gaining shortstop eligibility to go with third base this season, if you get Machado in Round 2 then he is a gigantic steal.

-I said going back to last year that Dylan Bundy was a fluke and should be avoided and he got shelled for the second time in two spring starts Friday by giving up 5 runs in 2.1 IP./  Bundy got a ton of BABIP luck a year ago and his FIP and XIP ERA were horrendous.  With a middling K rate not allowing Bundy to overcome the BABIP correction, this could get nasty.
