2018 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY WATCH: GROWING CONCERN ABOUT BUSTER POSEY ANKLE

There is growing concern but not a full-blown panic by the San Francisco Giants front office when it comes to the ongoing ankle injury suffered by All-Star catcher Buster Posey.  Posey was supposed to return to action on Tuesday but he was still not ready to play when he reported early in the day.  Posey has been out since Feb. 25th and some testing might now be ordered by team brass in order to see if there is a possible fracture or something along those lines instead of just a simple sprain.  Of course, those who already own stock in Posey when it comes to 2018 fantasy baseball need to be paying close attention to this but this is a reminder of why I say never to draft a backstop early.  In addition, Posey's power has been declining for a number of years now and he looks close to what Joe Mauer did before he lost eligibility there.  Be wary here.
