2018 FANTASY BASEBALL PLAYER ANALYZER: ENDER INCIARTE OUTFIELDER ATLANTA BRAVES

When it comes to filling out your outfield in yearly fantasy baseball leagues, it is always very crucial to snag a top tier/second tier option from the position early in the draft and then work your way down from there in addressing the other two starting spots.  This is a strategy that yours truly employs, with the idea of trying to pick up a five-tool outfielder to anchor the position and then coming back here with some decently priced options to fill out the rest.  One such name who will fall into the latter category for me is underrated Atlanta Braves outfielder Ender Inciarte who first showed up on this site as a prime fantasy baseball sleeper in 2016 while he was with the Arizona Diamondbacks and since that point he has become an even more sought out commodity given how nicely his game has developed.  Having been granted a great opportunity being traded to the Braves in the Shelby Miller trade, Inciarte soon grabbed hold of the team's leadoff spot and never looked back last season as he put up the following statistics:

.304
11 HR
93 R
57 RBI
22 SB

In looking at the overall package of numbers here, what jumps out is that Inciarte is a nice asset in runs, average, and stolen bases to make him a very solid high-end OF 3.  11 home runs is an added bonus but don't go overly crazy with excitement there given the fact it took Inciarte a mammoth 718 at-bats to get them.  While power is not Inciarte's thing, he is still just 27 and there is a smidge of upside remaining to his game.  So again we are talking about a very good OF 3 that is still somewhat off the radar in fantasy baseball and so the draft cost will not be high here as well.  In the end, Inciarte is the type of value play investment you can nab in the middle rounds with little competition, while at the same time filling out other spots earlier in the draft.

2018 PROJECTION:  .302 12 HR 97 R 55 RBI 24 SB
