2017 FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 16 SATURDAY WRAPUP

-Despite a driving rainstorm that made passing almost impossible in the middle of the game, Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco had a good night in completing 29-of-38 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns in the team's win over the Indianapolis Colts.  Flacco caught some streamer appeal this week given the fact the brutal Colts defense was on the other side and he came through with nice numbers here.  He still remains nothing but a middling fantasy football starter however, going into the 2018 season.

-For the first time in forever, Indianapolis Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton had a 100-yard receiving day as he hauled in 6 balls for 100 yards right on the nose.  Hilton usually does his best work at home but he had a good thing going with QB Jacoby Brissett througout the game.  We all know Hilton has big ability but he has been held back by the Colts' QB issues all season.  If Andrew Luck can get back to being healthy next season, Hilton could go back to being a top WR 2.

-A downright brutal season for Green Bay Packers wideout Jordy Nelson got even worse Sunday as he suffered an early shoulder injury during the first half of the team's game versus the Minnesota Vikings and failed to return.  This puts the topper on a season where Nelson's numbers cratered badly with the absence of QB Aaron Rodgers and he could very well be a cap casualty this winter given his increasing age and propensity for getting hurt.

-I said repeatedly that the Minnesota Vikings defense was set up for domination and that is what they did in pitching a shutout to the Green Bay offense Saturday night.  With one sack and two picks, the Vikes defense was awesome and are right there as the top overall unit in football this season.

-It was Stefon Diggs and nothing else on both sides of the offense quagmire that was the Vikings-Packers game Saturday night.  Diggs wound up catching five passes for 60 yards and a score to boost his owners who started him as a shaky WR 3 and overall he concludes a fantasy football season where the numbers swung wildly from week-to-week.

-Brett Hundley has had some bright moments filling in for Aaron Rodgers this season but Saturday night was not one of them as he completed 17-of-40 passes for 130 yards and two picks.  With single--digit temperatures clearly serving as a factor, Hundley was terrible and he dragged down the entire offense. It was easy to see this coming as we said all week to bench Green Bay skill players and we saw why in spades in last night's game.
