Zach Ertz owners pay attention. Rob Gronkowski's too. There is a certain third-string tight end in Houston that deserves your attention as the all-important playoff weeks get start to begin in fantasy football. With Ertz doubtful to play this week due to a concussion and Gronk suspended for his idiocy in last week's game, it can be the Texans' Anderson that may be able to save the tight end day Sunday. Who is Stephen Anderson you ask? A second-year undrafted player from California, Anderson comes off a Week 13 game where he caught five balls for 79 yards and a score replacing the concussed C.J. Fiedorowicz last Sunday and overall QB Tom Savage targeted him a crazy 12 times in the game. Anderson will start this week after Fiedorowicz was placed on IR and his workload should be crazy again as wideout Will Fuller is likely out as well; not to mention yet another wideout in Bruce Ellington hitting IR as well. Throw in the fact Savage loves to throw short-to-intermediate routes which is a staple for receiving tight ends and Anderson could be in line for a huge day Sunday. Scoop him up now before the word gets out.
