2017 FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 14 ISSUES: RETURN OF JOSH GORDON HURTING DUKE JOHNSON

In PPR formats, Cleveland Browns running back Duke Johnson has been a quietly very solid RB 2 in terms of fantasy football.  In 8 out of his first 11 games, Johnson reached double-digit scoring in PPR formats as he served as a safety valve for QB DeShon Kizer and occasionally picked up some rushing numbers.  Unfortunately Week 13 was a low point for Johnson as he rushed for just 2 yards on 7 carries, while catching only 2 balls for another 10 yards.  While we an possibly overlook one bad game, the return of ace wideout Josh Gordon could be a major contributing factor.  Consider that Kizer now has Gordon to pair with emerging second-year man Corey Coleman and rookie tight end David Njoku.  That is a lot of targets for a QB who is beyond shaky with his passing and that leaves Johnson even lower on the receiving totem pole.  So with a very crucial Week 14 coming up, Johnson owners may want to take a look at Peyton Barber, Mike Davis, and Gio Bernard off waivers as a replacement.
