2017 FANTASY FOOTBALL ISSUES: NEW PACT FOR DAVANTE ADAMS SIGNALS HE WILL BE NUMBER 1 OPTION IN 2018

The Green Bay Packers didn't want to play around when it came to the contract status of wideout Davante Adams and so they quickly addressed the issue on Friday when they officially re-signed him to a four-year deal worth $58 millions.  The move makes it clear that the Packers are all-in on Adams and that he will be the number 1 target of QB Aaron Rodgers in 2018.  With fellow wideout Jordy Nelson having endured a horrible and injury-plagued 2017 campaign, it is likely the Packers will consider cutting him loose there and going forward with Adams, Randall Cobb, and the emerging Geronimo Allison.  This means that Adams needs to be graded as a low-end WR 1 in terms of 2018 fantasy football and the best part is that he likely can be had for a WR 2 price.  It is this sort of draft inequality that makes for a tremendous pick and so Adams needs to have a star put next to his name on early offseason cheat sheets.
