Matthew Stafford remains in the midst of a big season, while the Green Bay skills players continue their path to irrelevancy with Aaron Rodgers remaining out.  Let's get to all the latest fantasy football news and notes emanating from the game.

-Speaking of Stafford, the guy is phenomenal and continues to serve as one of the best QB value play investments on a yearly basis.  Last night he completed 26-of-33 for 361 yards with 2 TD and a third rushing score.  With the Lions running game remaining non-existent, Stafford will have to keep slinging it all the way through the fantasy football playoffs.

On the other side, we can concretely say that Packers QB Brett Hundley can't play as he was simply abysmal yet again in completing 26-of-38 throws for 245 yards with zero touchdowns.  Yes Hundley added a rushing score but he is right there as one of the worst fantasy football starting QB's in the game and Mike McCarthy might even be thinking of making some sort of change moving forward.  Those who are holding onto hope that Rodgers will return are seeming that fleeting chance grow more dim as the team won't bring him back if there is zero shot at the postseason which seems to be the case here.

-So who is the starting running back in Green Bay NOW?  Ty Montgomery?  Aaron Jones?  Edgar Bennett?  Just when it looked like the rookie Jones was about to take off, he throws in a complete dud (5 carries for 12 yards) and saw Montgomery go for 33 yards on 5 carries.  Montgomery looked fresh and completely over his previous injuries and so he could now be forcing a 50/50 split which is fantasy football death to both guys.  Can't anything ever go smoothly?

The Lions themselves have major running problems as well, with Ameer Abdullah picking up a lousy 48 yards on 21 carries.  While he did score, Abdullah also lost a fumble and caught just one pass for 9 yards.  Theo Riddick remains a pain to Abdullah's owners as he caught four balls for 62 yards and thus is the back of choice when it comes to the passing game.  Both Riddick and Abdullah are nothing but RB 3's.

-Golden Tate looked spry in catching 7 balls for 113 yards but it was Marvin Jones who was the receiving man Monday night for the Lions as he hauled in 7 passes for 107 yards and two scores.  Jones is the guy that Stafford looks toward first in the red zone and that limits Tate to WR 2 status in PPR and WR 3 status in standards.  Also Eric Ebron (3 catches for 35 yards) remains nothing but an enigma.

On the Packers' side, Jordy Nelson managed just four catches for 35 yards and has to be downgraded all the way to WR 3 status.  Nelson of course has been a TD monster over the years who made big plays down the field but Hundley is just not capable of reaching him in that capacity.  Davante Adams led the Packers with 7 catches for 53 yards (a bunch during garbage time) but he too is just in WR 3 territory.
