It seems like each and every season Cleveland Browns wideout Josh Gordon becomes a story during the summer as a possible fantasy football sleeper given his massive WR 1 ability and his ongoing suspension issues. Like a rite of August, talk begins on whether or not investing in Gordon is a good idea in playing the guessing game of whether he could be a help for his prospective owners at some point. Well 2017 was no different and now we get the news Wednesday that Gordon has been reinstated by the league with provisions that won't allow him to suit up until Week 13. So already in fantasy football parlance, we are talking about a guy who won't be a help until the end of the season and the fantasy football playoffs and there is no telling what kind of shape he will be in after three years away from the game. With the stakes so high for those teams that own Gordon who are still alive, taking such a gamble there would be incredibly foolish. So while it may be fun to own Gordon or to pick him up as a means of preventing your league mates from getting him don't count on any sizable impact here the rest of the season.
