2017 FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEK 3 WRAPUP: 4:00 GAMES AND LATER

-For the third time in three weeks, Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers was terrific; this time completing 28-of-42 throws for 313 yards with 3 TD's and 1 INT.  While the Pack was without Randall Cobb and the offensive line is becoming a big problem, Rodgers keeps on going as the best QB in fantasy football along with Tom Brady.

-A new OC was a blessing for Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green who was quiet the first two weeks of the year before busting out by catching 10 balls for 111 yards and 1 TD in the loss to the Packers.  We all knew it was a matter of time before Green got going and he is there now as a top five wideout in fantasy football.

-It looks like new Bengals OC Bill Lazer wants Joe Mixon to be his starting running back as he gave the rookie 18 carries which turned into 62 yards.  Mixon added 3 catches for another 39 yards in what on paper was a nondescript outing but in the long run could be swell for his fantasy football value.  We all know Mixon is the best back on the Bengals roster and he has game-breaking ability to be a true star.  Buy low if you can.

-Jordy Nelson was back in action after suffering a quad injury last week and didn't miss a beat as he caught 6 passes for 52 yards and two scores.  There is not a better red zone wideout in all of fantasy football than Nelson as he continually showed on a weekly basis.

-Chris Carson remained the Seattle Seahawks' feature back Sunday in the team's loss to the Tennessee Titans as both Thomas Rawls and Eddie Lacy not receiving a single touch.  Keep putting Carson out there as a RB 2 and cut loose Rawls and Lacy everywhere.

-Geronimo Allison took advantage of an uptick of playing time with Randall Cobb out as he caught 6 balls for 122 yards in the Packers' OT win over the Bengals.  While Cobb is expected back next week which severely limits Allison's upside, keep him in mind if the opportunity presents itself again.

-We are running out of superlatives for Kansas City Chiefs rookie running back Kareem Hunt who now has three rushes of over 50 yards in three games in the league.  Hunt rushed for 172 yards and a score on just 17 carries Sunday, while also adding one catch for another 11 yards.  Capable of even more in the passing game to go with all the rushing numbers, Hunt is proving to be the gem value of the year so far in fantasy football.

-It was the bad and turnover-prone Philip Rivers Sunday as the Los Angeles Chargers QB tossed three picks in a terrible loss to the Chiefs.  Overall Rivers completed just 20-of-40 throws for 237 yards with 0 TD's and the 3 picks.  Simply put, Rivers was among the biggest busts of the day.

-Kirk Cousins is rounding into shape after a tough first two weeks as he tossed three touchdowns in a statistically perfect outing Sunday night versus the Oakland Raiders.  Cousins completed 25-of-30 throws for 365 yards and the three scores in the game but he gets the tough Chiefs defense next week so tread a bit carefully in that game.
