Early on in Thursday night's game between the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs, it certainly looked Danny Amendola was going to take off statistically in place of the injured Julian Edelman. 6 catches and 100 yards later, those leagues where Amendola was still available began to jockey for position to get him off waivers. Well the fun didn't last the entire game as Amendola left with a head injury and soon was diagnosed with a concussion that has his Week 2 status very much in doubt. There is the rub with Amendola who flashed big PPR potential but who simply can't stay healthy for more than a decent stretch of games or even plays such as last night. That means recently acquired Philip Dorsett is likely to be a factor in an expected shootout with the New Orleans Saints next week and also Chris Hogan and Brandin Cooks will see more targets as well. There was a lot of anger directed toward Hogan given the fact he caught just one ball for five yards but Tom Brady targeted him enough but simply missed throws. Also the Pats passing game as a whole was rough as Rob Gronkowski managed just two catches himself. So keep Hogan for another week.
