2017 FANTASY BASEBALL STATUS REPORT: JOSE RAMIREZ 3B CLEVELAND INDIANS

Francisco Lindor is not the only young Cleveland Indians infielder who can rake.  While Lindor got most of the love during 2017 fantasy baseball drafts, Ramirez has certainly made a name for himself in a big offensive season that included another home run on Monday (making it 5 in his last 7 games).  While Ramirez first put himself on the fantasy baseball map with a very nice 2016 (.312, 11 HR, 22 SB), he has gone into overdrive with the numbers now in sitting with the following statistics going into Tuesday:

.310
22 HR
66 RBI
89 R
15 SB

No matter where you look, Ramirez is really coming through with big-time production in all five standard roto categories.  In fact Ramirez looks like a young David Wright with his power/speed game and .300 average to go with the high concentration in runs/RBI.  Still just 24, Ramirez has some more seasons to go before he reaches his ceiling as well.  What really makes Ramirez stand out as well behind the surface numbers is a terrific approach at the dish that includes just a tiny 11.5 K/9 rate that is among the lowest in baseball among everyday hitters.  Throw in a solid 7.3 BB/9 and Ramirez has some of the most impressive hitting skills in the game.  It truly has been a remarkable year for Ramirez and he has fully graduated into a five-tool monster at the hot corner who is moving to the top tier area code with his spectacular 2017 campaign.
