As far as Thomas is concerned, he enters into his second NFL season having already showed star ability as a rookie in 2016. Despite having more accomplished receivers surrounding him such as Brandin Cooks, Willie Snead, and Coby Fleener, Thoams found his footing very early on in the year and by the middle of the season, quickly graduated into the top target of QB Drew Brees. Being the top receiving target of Brees is about the most prominent spot to be in all of fantasy football and Thomas was this guy as he went on to post the following numbers:
92 catches
1,137 yards
9 TD
Again consider that Thomas was just a rookie last season and that it was not until October before things really hit their stride. Now Thomas goes into the 2017 season with Cooks having been traded to the New England Patriots and Snead still just a number 2 complement. Right from the jump Thomas will be the featured wideout in the always explosive Saints passing attack and 100 catches and 1,200 yards should be very much in play for him this season. Throw in 10-12 touchdowns and Thomas has the chance to post first round numbers like I said earlier. So I know in Round 2 in the Experts League draft, Thomas will be a main target of mine. The guy has immense ceiling and should be a monster star in 2017 fantasy football.
2017 PROJECTION: 102 receptions 1,285 yards 12 TD
