-It appears as though Detroit Tigers outfielder J.D. Martinez will be traded at some point on or before the July trade deadline as both the Arizona Diamondbacks and Colorado Rockies are involved in talks. Martinez is the premier outfielder on the market, not including any possible Giancarlo Stanton move that just doesn't seem possible given his enormous contract. Having a very good power season while hitting around .300 once again, Martinez would be a terrific get for whomever lands the veteran.
-The Cincinnati Reds are listening on Billy Hamilton but just like last year, will need to be blown away to trade the still-young speedster. Same goes for closer Raisel Iglesias who the Washington Nationals were once hard after but who have recently moved on to Ryan Madson and Sean Doolittle.
-The New York Mets coming off the break destroying the Rockies in two games has not changed things just yet concerning the team listening on offers for guys such as Neil Walker, Addison Reed, and Jay Bruce but a hot stretch the next week or so could certainly make GM Sandy Alderson re-think things.
-Not only is Baltimore Orioles closer Zach Britton getting a bunch of trade deadline attention but prospecting ninth inning replacement Brad Brach is as well.
-The Miami Marlins want to move A.J. Ramos in the worst way but are remaining mysteriously stubborn on Dan Straily.
