The wait goes on for top New York Mets shortstop Amed Rosario who the team placed on the 10-day DL Tuesday with a left thumb sprain. The injury was a surprise as Cabrera hit two home runs Monday night but this has been a lingering problem for the shortstop who had an earlier DL stint due to the same ailment. Meanwhile, the Mets did not call up Rosario in a corresponding move and have said that veteran Jose Reyes will handle the shortstop spot in Cabrera's place. This has become quite an annoying deal for those who are holding stock on Rosario who is tearing up Triple-A to the tune of .337 average with 6 home runs and 11 stolen bases; showing he has nothing left to prove in the minors. With the Super 2 deadline having passes as well, it is all the more infuriating that Rosario has not been promoted. Still Rosario is such a supreme talent (drawing comparisons to Francisco Lindor) that he should still be held in almost all fantasy baseball leagues as he SHOULD be up at some point. It should have been by now however.
