FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: GRADE 2 OBLIQUE STRAIN COSTS TYLER SKAGGS 10-12 WEEKS

Just when Los Angeles Angels pitcher Tyler Skaggs was finally beginning to make good on his past vast potential, a frustrating and serious Grade 2 oblique strain will send him to the DL for the next 10-12 weeks.  Already having undergone a Tommy John elbow surgery, Skaggs broke camp in the Angels rotation where he logged a 3.99 ERA, 1.26 WHIP, and struck out 29 batters in 29.1 innings. The 8th overall pick in the 2009 draft was always full of promise but injuries continue to dog his career.  Given the diagnosis, Skaggs will be out until after the All-Star Break and unless you take part in AL-only formats, he should be dropped in all formats.
