The update is on on Houston Astros veteran starting pitcher Colin McHugh's elbow and the news is not good as he will be completely shut down for the next six weeks with what the team is calling an impingement of his right throwing elbow. McHugh felt pain in the elbow during his rehab outing on Friday and follow-up testing revealed the inflammation. The good news is that McHugh's UCL is not damaged and completely intact which means no Tommy John and thus a complete loss of 2017. Instead though, McHugh will be out until June as he will need to build back up physically after the shutdown is through. He had borderline SP 4 value in most fantasy baseball leagues this season which means McHugh's loss is not huge but it is still a decent blow to those who do have own a share.
