2017 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: BUSTER POSEY (HEAD) LATEST CATCHER TO HIT DL

It has been a rough couple of days for the top tier catchers for 2017 fantasy baseball.  Just one day after we learned that New York Yankees catcher and 2017 must-have sleeper Gary Sanchez would miss at leas a month, Tuesday we found out that the San Francisco Giants would place perennial number 1 backstop Buster Posey on the 7-day DL with a likely concussion suffered from an HBP to the helmet the day prior.  Again we tell you each and every year never to draft a catcher early and these two were the most pricey of the backstops this season in 2017 fantasy baseball.  The injury rare is always high here and while these two cases were not caused by anything to do with manning he position, offensive numbers tend to suffer here as well given the wear-and-tear.  Posey should be back in 7 days which means this is far from a disaster but it is a reminder that you always want to look for value here.
