The Chicago White Sox predictably placed SP Carlos Rodon on the 10-day DL on Sunday with what the team is calling biceps tendinitis but the bigger story is that the hard-throwing youngster is likely to be out until the end of April or even the start of May. While no structural damage was found n Rodon's MRI's, the White Sox plan to have him pretty much do nothing but soft-toss the next two weeks. That means Rodon will have a few weeks to build back up arm strength which puts him in the end-of-April/early-May deal. This is a sizable blow to those who already own Rodon as the kid really made strides improving his control the second half of last year and he was hinting at ace power stuff as well. Obviously stash Rodon away but this is already a knock on his 2017 fantasy baseball value and we have not even had the White Sox play a game yet.
