After delaying for two days, the Washington Nationals finally placed shortstop Trea Turner on the 10-day DL with the hamstring pull he suffered during Saturday's game. The move was backdated to April 9th and Stephen Drew will now take Turner's place in the field. Obviously this is a big blow to Turner's fantasy baseball owners but it shouldn't be a shock since a hamstring injury to a guy built for speed is an almost automatic DL situation. Turner was not really hitting before the injury and so the sophomore slump was already at work as well. I myself have no shares on Turner as I refused to pay the exorbitant price for a guy with less than a season of MLB experience under his belt and for the fact the power he hit last season didn't jive with his career levels. Hope it is a short stint of you are a Turner owner but the start to 2017 is already not going to plan.
