FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: TREVOR MAY TEARS UCL IN ELBOW, BECOMES LATEST STATISTIC

Add Minnesota Twins reliever Trevor May to the ever-growing list of young and hard-throwing pitchers who have become Tommy John victims as he was officially diagnosed with a UCL tear in his elbow on Saturday.  While May only had minimal value in AL-only fantasy baseball leagues, he joins the classic Tommy John characteristic of being 27 or younger and a predominantly hard-thrower.  Obviously if you own May, cut him loose but let this be another lesson that owning bigger name guys like Daniel Duffy, Noah Syndegaard, and Danny Salazar carry a big amount of risk in fantasy baseball this season as they too fit this profile.
