Oh my goodness. Colorado Rockies first baseman Ian Desmond now takes the cake for the biggest injury of 2017 fantasy baseball to this point as he was diagnosed with a fractured left hand after getting hit by a pitch during Sunday's exhibition game. X-Rays showed the fracture and now Desmond will go see a hand specialist Monday to determine how long he will be out. If a pin is needed, Desmond could be down two months. This is an utter disaster for Desmond's fantasy baseball owners who were giddy about him playing in Coors Field for half of his game this season. Having posted a 20/20 comeback campaign in 2016, Desmond went as a highly sought after commodity in early drafts. Obviously stick Desmond on the bench and the fallout leaves a huge gap at first base for the team this April and maybe beyond.
