2017 FANTASY BASEBALL INJURY FALLOUT: ANTHONY DeSCALFANI SHUT DOWN FOUR WEEKS WITH SPRAINED UCL

Updating an earlier item, Cincinnati Reds pitcher Anthony DeScalfani has been shut down for the next four weeks after being diagnosed with a sprained UCL in his elbow.  The diagnosis can sometimes result in eventual Tommy John surgery but for now the conservative approach is being taken by the Reds and DeScalfani who is likely out until mid-May at the earliest.  He should not be drafted in any fantasy baseball league given this news and let's hope DeScalfani doesn't become another Tommy John statistic.
