It has been a long and frustrating return from shoulder surgery for Cleveland Indians outfielder Michael Brantley.......make that two shoulder surgeries........to say the least. After pretty much missing a chunk of 2015 and pretty much all of 2016 with the surgery and subsequent complications, it was learned on Wednesday that Brantley is not yet ready to play in Cactus Leaguegames. Brantley is being handled with kid gloves by team brass and there is word that he may not be ready to go by Opening Day as well. What is interesting here is that Brantley's draft price has come way down leading into 2017 and that has made him attractive as a buy low comeback candidate. I personally was a big critic of Brantley as an overrated outfielder after his 2014 breakout and while that analysis turned out to be spot on, his price has dropped so much that now I would be tempted to pick him as an outfielder 3 guy. As long as there are no setbacks, a mid-April return is likely and thus the stage would be set for that comeback season.
