FANTASY SPORTS BOSS CLINCHES TOP SEED AND FIRST ROUND BYE FOR WEEK 14

As always, yours truly holds myself accountable on this site in terms of my performance in fantasy football and fantasy baseball.  After losing by a razor thin margin in baseball this past season in taking second place in the Experts League, I am currently the defending champion in the Experts League of fantasy football.  This season has been another good one as I clinched the top overall seed and earned a first round by this week with an 11-2 composite record.  I will sit back and see who I play for next week but my roster is in decent shape.  This is who I wound up taking to such a lofty ranking.

QB:  Drew Brees
RB:  Le'Veon Bell, Jordan Howard
WR:  Antonio Brown, Michael Crabtree, Brandin Cooks
TE:  Jordan Reed
K-Steven Haushka
DEF-Minnesota

BENCH

RB:  Devontae Bookes, Dion Lewis, Paul Perkins, Adrian Peterson
WR:  Ty Montgomery, Cole Beasley
TE:  Vernon Davis

-My top three picks of Brown, Bell, and Brees all worked out great but the fourth rounder on Jamaal Charles was a horror show.  From there I snagged Reed in the seventh round and he has been great when he has played.  Also my late round snag on what I thought was a rising Minnesota defense has been huge as they are the best unit in the league.  In addition, I got so much more than I anticipated out of Crabtree who I yawned when I picked in the late rounds.

Pretty much the rest of the team is a clear example of why you stay active on the wire.  In Howard and Booker, I picked up two starting bellcow backs during the year.  I also got Montgomery for his hot midseason stretch and Lewis and Peterson for the stretch.  Peterson was a hedge to see if he came back but why not?  Also Beasley was a nice early add that has helped during bye weeks.  Finally, Davis was the perfect add to back up Reed since he can do a nice job when Reed gets hurt as he has a habit of doing.  This is a team I can win with but there is always a chance every week you can lose in fantasy football.  I won't take anything for granted.
