A holiday gift could be in store for anyone who own's stock in Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson as the perennial All-Pro returned to the practice field on Wednesday which marked the first time he has been back on the field since seemingly suffering a season-ending knee injury back in September. There has been no statement about what the Vikings have in store for Peterson in terms of a possible return to game action but team sources are pointing toward Week 16 against the Green Bay Packers as such a landing spot. That makes it very interesting in terms of what to do with Peterson if you do own him as there will clearly be rust to shape off but on the flip side, the guy has made a career out of making smashing returns from injury. With Matt Asiata and Jerrick McKinnon performing terribly in terms of running the football since Peterson went out, at the very least he should get the majority of carries if he does in fact suit up on Christmas Eve. With Week 16 being the fantasy football Super Bowl game though, Peterson shapes up as a sizable risk/reward guy.
