On the heels of Derek Carr's almost complete no-show Thursday night after performing like a stud top tier QB for the previous 13 games, we now have the very rough situation confronting the fantasy football owners of Atlanta Falcons ace wideout Julio Jones who is in great danger of sitting out Week 14 with a turf toe injury. There are some reports saying Jones will sit and some that are saying he will be nothing more than a decoy if he does suit up. No matter what, it looks like Jones will be of no use to his fantasy football owners who rode his top three overall wideout excellence all season. Jones' absence is as big a loss as one can get and it becomes doubly severe when you factor in the fact it is a playoff week for many. The fallout also includes a big hit to QB Matt Ryan who has achieved a great deal of his 2016 numbers on the strength of Jones' skills. With Mohamud Sanu also expected to sit, Ryan is left with the speedy but unpolished Taylor Gabriel as his top wideout. This makes Ryan a very dicey start in this do-or-die week as well but Gabriel is a smart pickup if he is still on your league's waiver wire. All in all however, Jones' loss can easily decide quite a number of playoff games this week. The fact this is happening at such a rough time makes it even worse.
