Never again. That is the consensus thought of those who own fantasy football stock in New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski after it was revealed Thursday that he would need to undergo back surgery for the second time in his career and miss the next 8 weeks. That means Gronk is done for 2016 fantasy football and this marks the third major injury already in his career to go with the previous back surgery and a torn up knee. There may not be a more injury-prone player in the game than Gronkowski and let this be a moment to forever realize that he should never be a first round or even second round pick in fantasy football leagues again. We have been saying such a thing for the last two years as the injuries continues to pile up, with each narrative written by us on Gronkowski noting the upside but also the vast downside with the injuries. This is par for the course unfortunately for Gronkowski and his fantasy football owners and so there should be no surprise here. Cut Gronk in all formats and learn a harsh lesson. Never again.
