FANTASY BASEBALL HOT STOVE ISSUES: MARK MELANCON EXPECTED TO SIGN WITH GIANTS

As expected, the MLB Hot Stove season is fully underway and filled with action now that the collective bargaining agreement has been signed between the Players Association and the league.  Carlos Beltran was the latest to sign on Saturday as he inked a one-year deal worth $16 million with the Houston Astros and Rich Hill is widely reported to be just a signature short of making official his return to the Los Angeles Dodgers on a three-year deal.  The latest shoe to drop is expected to be All-Star closer Mark Melancon inking a four-year deal with the San Francisco Giants which is a story we led with almost 10 days ago citing a source that said he preferred a more laid-back destination then a big-market on like in Washington with the Nationals.  There was a report that came out Saturday that said Melancon has multiple four-year offers but all things being equal, the Giants will be the team.
