The Tampa Bay Rays made a buy low move on free agent catcher Wilson Ramos, netting the veteran to a two-year deal worth $12,5 million late Tuesday. Currently rehabbing from last seasons torn ACL, Ramos is expected back on the field sometime in May. Prior to the injury, Ramos was having a career season as he batted .307 with 22 home runs for the Washington Nationals.
Analysis: Ramos is shaping up as a nice catching sleeper this fantasy baseball season despite the fact April looks like it will not be in play. The Rays can play Ramos at DH when he is not catching which his big for his counting numbers and top ten status among catchers is very much in play again,.
