There are some certainties in life. The sun will come up in the morning. Pizza tastes great cold. And Jordan Reed will get injury on a yearly basis. That is the risk Reed's owners willingly take when they invest in him during yearly fantasy football drafts but the allure of top tier receiving production can be too tough to ignore. After Reed went nuclear during the second half of 2015, that setup was even more in play then ever before this past summer. Well as per custom, Reed has shown up on the injury report again, this time for a concussion that has placed him in the protocol late Thursday. Given the late entrance into the protocol, Reed all of a sudden looks less than 50/50 to go on Sunday against the New York Giants. In fact we can almost say for certainty given the concerns about concussion in the league that Reed will BE OUT for Week 6 and so his fantasy football owners need to be making accomodations now. Vernon Davis will draw the start in Reed's place and he has some intrigue since we have seen some big things out of the veteran in the past. However it has been three seasons since Davis was impactful in fantasy football so a trip to the waiver wire could be in order. Usual suspects such as Zach Miller, Dwayne Allen, and Jesse James all look like good options there as well. Par for the course when it comes to Reed unfortunately.
