Thursday night kicked off Week 7 in fantasy football  as the Green Bay Packers took care of the woeful Chicago Bears.  Quite a bit to get to in this one so let's begin/

-Aaron Rodgers took a lot of heat for his ugly play in a Week 6 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys and rightly so.  In fact some even began to wonder if he had slipped just a bit from his MVP days.  Well Rodgers refuted that assessment Thursday night by carving up the Bears defense to the tune of completing 39-of-56 passes for 326 yards and 3 touchdowns.  Statement made I would say.  Yes the Green Bay offense and line has been beat up a bit lately but this should be a lesson regarding how you should never doubt the greatness of Rodgers.

-On the other side of the QB coin, the nice comeback story of Bears QB Brian Hoyer is finished after he suffered a broken arm.  Hoyer is obviously done for the season and that is a real shame since he played great since spelling Jay Cutler who went down in September with a thumb injury.  Matt Barkley reminded us all why he doesn't even belong in the NFL, completing 6-of-16 throws.  What all fantasy football owners of Alshon Jeffery, Zach Miller, and company now need is for Cutler to return as Barkley would be death to their numbers.

-Ty Montgomery is the newest sensation in fantasy football and rightfully so as the do-everything wideout rushed for 60 yards on 9 carries, while also catching 10 balls for 66 yards.  It was a monster performance from Montgomery who now looks like he will be an insanely vaulable runner AND receiver in the mold of Le'Veon Bell with Eddie Lacy on IR.  This also marked the seocnd straight game Montgomery caught 10 passes which shows you how big he can be in PPR.

-Just when Jordan Howard owners thought they had the next biggest running back breakout, Kadeem Carey goes out and rushes for 48 yards on 10 carries Thursday night; while Howard had a second straught dud in picking up just 22 on 7.  It looks like John Fox is going with the hot hand at running back and that person is not Howard right now.  Not good at all and now Howard's starting status in fantasy football is very much in question.

-Nothing doing at all for the Chicago wideouts.  Alshon Jeffery caught just 3 balls for 33 yards as he continues along on a very disappointing season, Zach Miller went 2 for 40, and recent sensation Cameron Meredith was a no-show with 1 catch for 12 yards.  Things change fast in fantasy football in terms of numbers but these three all need Cutler back quick.

-Finally Davante Adams was the main beneficary from all the Rodgers throwing Thursday night as he hauled in 13 balls for 132 yards and 2 scores.  This is the type of game that keeps many coming back to Adams who has always carried big potential.  Meanwhile Randall Cobb had a big game as well catching 11 balls for 95 yards but Jordy Nelson managed just 1 catch for 19 yards in a complete abomination of an outing.  When you see how many times Rodgers threw, it is unfathomable to think Nelson caught just one ball.  Coming back from a torn ACL, one has to wonder if Nelson in fact has slipped.
