New York Jets (-1.5) VS. BUFFALO:  There is a ton of desperation for both teams coming off losses in Week 1 but the Jets are more desperate given their incredibly brutal next five games (Arizona, seattle, K.C., Pittsburgh, and Baltimore.  If the Jets don't win this one, when will they get into the "W" column?  The Bills have the Jets' number though as they have won the last five in the series and Rex Ryan loves nothing more than beating his old team.  The key here is if Sammy Watkins plays for the Bills.  If he does, this one could easily go either way but if he sits, the Jets should pull it out.  There are conflicting trends going in both directions, with a strong one on the Bills being a home dog on national television.  I would avoid this if you can but the Jets are the better overall team and should pull it out.  THE PICK:  New York Jets (-2.5)

DETROIT 5.5 Tennessee:******THIS GAME IS ONE OF OUR BEST BETS FOR THE WEEK AND IS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.*****

HOUSTON 3 Kansas City:  This is a troubling matchup for the Chiefs as they are down two starting guards and that is a bad thing to when facing the fierce Houston Texans D-line.  Remember that while they did come back and win in shocking fashion, the Chiefs were getting destroyed by the San Diego Chargers at home in the first half.  THE PICK:  Houston Texans (-3)

NEW ENGLAND 6.5 Miami:  Remember never to bet against the New England Patriots again.  Like never.  No spread is too much for them to cover and that goes for this week against a Miami team that hung tough against Seattle but who will have a difficuly time replacing such an effort. THE PICK:  New England Patriots (-6.5)

Baltimore 7 CLEVELAND:  Josh McCown goes under center for the Browns in this one after RG3 not surprisingly got hurt in his debut in Week 1.  Count on a spark from the veteran who has a thing going with tight end Gary Barnridge going back to last season.  Meanwhile the Ravens seems to always play tight games and that goes especially for divisional opponents.  Home underdog at work.  THE PICK:  Cleveland Browns (+7)

PITTSBURGH 3.5 Cincinnati:  Rivalry game to the core here as the Bengals and Steelers reprise things from their crazy playoff game from a year ago.  This is one of the toughest games to call which is why we wouldn't touch it as a best bet.  The extra half-point is the reason and a field goal game is very possible but the Steelers are home and have the talent to win by a TD.  In other words pass.  THE PICK:  PASS

WASHINGTON 2.5 Dallas:  The Washington Redskins defense was a joke last week versus Pittsburgh but they get a bit of an easier matchup against a still developing Dak Prescott.  Can't imagine the Redskins dropping two straight to open the season at home. THE PICK:  Washington Redskins (-2.5)

NEW YORK GIANTS 4.5 New Orleans*****THIS GAME IS ONE OF OUR BEST BETS FOR THE WEEK AND IS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.******

CAROLINA 13.5 San Francisco******THIS GAME IS ONE OF OUR BEST BETS FOR THE WEEK AND IS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.******

ARIZONA 6.5 Tampa Bay:  Arizona will be out for blood after being embarassed at home in prime-time versus the New England Patriots in Week 1.  THe defense will be ready to get after Tampa QB Jameis Winston who comes off a four-TD passing game.  This is a classic, comeback/regress game on both sides and Winston will realize things are not as easy against a Cardinals defense in the desert.  THE PICK:  Arizona Cardinals (-6.5)

Seattle 7 LOS ANGELES:  This is one is gong to be scary. If the Rams can't score against the San Francisco defense, then just imagine the carnage the Seahawks unit will inflict on Case Keenum and company.  Nothing else needs to be said.  THE PICK:  Seattle Seahawks (-7)

DEVER 6.5 Indianapolis:  This is a lot of points for Trevor Siemian to be giving to anyone and also Demaryuis Thomas is not 100 percent.  Andrew Luck by himself can keep this within the number.  THE PICK:  Indianapolis Colts (-6.5)

OAKLAND 5.5 Atlanta*****THIS GAME IS ONE OF OUR BEST BETS FOR THE WEEK AND IS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.*******

SAN DIEGO 3 Jacksonville******THIS GAME IS ONE OF OUR BEST BETS FOR THE WEEK AND IS FOR SUBSCRIBERS ONLY.******

Green Bay 2.5 MINNESOTA:  Home underdog on national television angle is at work but I can't back a Minnesota defense minus DT Shariff Floyd and CB Xavier Rhodes versus Aaron Rodgers.  THE PICK:  Green Bay Packers (-2.5)

CHICAGO 3.5 Philadelphia:  Not liking this game either way as the Carson Wentz variable is still too new to decipher and the Bears are as up-and-down as you get in the game.  Let this one go.  THE PICK:  PASS
