FANTASY FOOTBALL INJURY FALLOUT: ROBERT GRIFFIN III PLACED ON IR ALREADY, JOSH McCOWN BACK IN SADDLE

Boy it has to be tough being a Cleveland Browns fan.  The perennial NFL punching bag brought in former number 2 pick overall Robert Griffin III in a buy low move to try and finally solve their never-ending QB woes.  Well Griffin didn't even make it to Week 2 as he suffered a broken bone in his non-throwing shoulder which placed him on IR.  Griffin has a designation to return but who knows when that will be and you don't want to wait for him if you are an owner.  I admit I bought a bit into the buy low deal as the price dropped so much on Griffin that he was actually looking like someone you could turn a profit on.  However his old habits of not sliding when running led to the injury and so here we are again.  Veteran backup Josh McCown will now become the starter again and his promotion doesn't move the fantasy football needle much.  McCown has had his moments over the years and even played well a year ago for the Browns but he should not be used if you want to stay competitive.  What I will say is that McCown is a better pure passer than Griffin and so tyhis could give a slight boost to rookie wideout Corey Coleman and tight end Gary Barnridge.  Also no reason to hold Griffin and we have reached a point now where no one should touch him again.
