There is never a good time to see one of your prime fantasy baseball hitters or pitchers going down with injury but this is especially true in September when league titles are decided. A big blow was felt by those who own Cincinnati Reds stolen base dynamo Billy Hamilton who suffered a dreaded oblique strain early in Sunday's game and will almost be sidelined for awhile. In fact Hamilton could be down for most or all of the month given how tricky oblique injuries are and that is a big problem for those who were relying on his stolen bases. The 58 steals are already a career-high and are a massive number that could net his owner the stolen base crown in their leagues by his own. Making matters even better, Hamilton was actually hitting for a decent average with his .261 mark. compare that to his nasty .226 average a year ago when he was a one category specialist all the way and the improvement he made there was easy to see. Unfortunately the fun appears to be over for now for one of the more polarizing players in fantasy baseball.
