FANTASY BASEBALL WELCOME TO THE SHOW: LUKE WEAVER SP ST. LOUIS CARDINALS

The St. Louis Cardinals are cleaning out the top pitching prospects in their farm system as they called up both Alex Reyes and Luke Weaver on Tuesday.  While Reyes will take his power stuff to the Cardinals bullpen, Weaver will go into the rotation to replace the injured Michael Wacha. Weaver was the team's first round pick out of Florida State in 2014 and needless to say, few pitchers in the minors have been more lights out this season as he registered an insanely good 1.30 ERA, 0.98 WHIP, and struck out 92 batters in 83 innings split between Double-A and Triple-A.  At only 22-years-old, Weaver is incredibly young but poises beyond his years.  With a fastball that approaches the upper 90's, Weaver put up a big 10.29 K/9 at Double-A before a brief six-inning cameo at Triple-A.  With massive pedigree given his draft slot and dominant numbers on the farm, Weaver is worth an add in most formats given what we have seen to this point this season.
