FANTASY BASEBALL WELCOME TO THE SHOW: AARON JUDGE

With the New York Yankees youth movement now in full swing, it was only a matter of time before the team called up top outfield prospect Aaron Judge.  That move was made on Saturday as the 24-year-old 2013 first round pick will debut for the Yanks and bring his big power along for the ride.  While it may have taken a bit longer than anticipated in terms of his debut, Judge has big time power that translated to 18 home runs and 63 RBI in 405 Triple-A at-bats leading up to the promotion.  Outside of the home run positives, Judge also has a good eye as he walked in 11.1 percent of his at-bats which led to a high .363 OBP.  The downside is a propensity for strikeouts as Judge whiffed in 24.0 percent of his Triple-A at-bats which is a number that will only go up with the Yanks.  As a result, Judge will likely struggle to hit .260 initially for the Yankees and fantasy baseball teams but the power could be sweet considering the ballpark.  Judge should be picked up on the power aspect f his game alone but his bigger impact will likely come in 2017 as he gets experience at the major league level.
