FANTASY BASEBALL TRADE DEADLINE WHERE WE ARE AT: JAY BRUCE

By Michael Wong

With the trade deadline set for 4:00 ET today, one of the bigger names expected to be moved is Cincinnati Reds slugging outfielder Jay Bruce.  Reports have already surfaced that the Reds have a deal in place for Bruce.  Conflicting sources are saying it is the New York Mets or the San Francisco Giants.  In terms of the Mets, a team source we have gotten good intel on during the Jonathan Lucroy talks have said that if the team is willing to include top first base prospect Dominic Smith, it is a done deal.  The Mets are debating it as we speak and could be desperate enough based on how the source was describing the talks.  Michael Conforto and Ahmed Rosario WILL NOT be in the deal.

Meanwhile the Giants are also supposedly involved here and have a better offer then their division rival Los Angeles Dodgers.  Not hearing what the prime pieces are that would be going to the Reds from the Giants.

All in all we could be looking at a situation where the Reds play the Giants and Mets against one other to get their best haul.
