FANTASY BASEBALL WELCOME TO THE SHOW: TYLER GLASNOW TO GET THE CALL FOR THE WEEKEND

With Jameson Taillon dealing with a tired shoulder/arm, the Pittsburgh Pirates will call up fellow top pitching prospect Tyler Glasnow to debut Thursday.  While Glasnow has the same control problems that dogged Taillon (at least prior to 2016), his power stuff has registered 113 strikeouts in only 96 innings with a 1.78 ERA.  Again the splits are pretty sharp here as Glasnow has a 10.54 K/9 rate at Triple-A but with an ugly 4.83 BB/9.  At Double-A however, Glasnow this season was at 11.71/2.71 which is much better so there is the ability to curb the walks.  With a fastball that tops out at around 98 and with a knee-buckling curve, Glasnow has the stuff to be a top-end fantasy baseball starter in short order.  At only 22-years-old, Glasnow was right there with Julio Urias and Lucas Giolito in terms of being the best arms in the minors leagues and he has the ability to be a top shelf arm for whatever innings he has left this season which should be in the 60-80 range.
