FANTASY BASEBALL TRADE FALLOUT: BRAD ZIEGLER LATEST CLOSER ON THE MOVE TO BOSTON

Just a few days after the San Diego Padres unloaded closer Fernando Rodney into a setup role with the Miami Marlins, the Arizona Diamondbacks did the same when the dealt their closer Brad Ziegler to the Boston Red Sox late Friday.  Ziegler will step into a setup role in front of closer Craig Kimbrel, with some added intrigue being put into play when the latter came down with some soreness in his knee.  If Kimbrel is all right, then those who own stock in Ziegler all of a sudden have a guy who was pitching great all season as a very impactful fantasy baseball closer to someone who pretty much lost most of his value moving into setup.  Our own Michael Wong reported on the good chance that Ziegler would be dealt earlier in the day on Friday though so really this is not a total shock.  With Ziegler out of the picture now, the saves grab in Arizona likely centers on Tyler Clippard who always seems to find his way into the ninth inning at some point no matter if he was pitching in Washington, New York with the Mets, or Oakland where he was an All-Star stopper.  Daniel Hudson was the lock replacement with dominant pitching earlier in the season but he has fallen off of late.  Clippard has a 3.06 ERA and has boosted his K Rate this season with 39 K's in 32.1 innings and has the experience edged versus Hudson.  Pick up Clippard.
