FANTASY BASEBALL TRADE FALLOUT: AARON HILL ARRIVAL IN BOSTON BAD NEWS FOR TRAVIS SHAW

After shocking everyone by hitting well above .300 and with some power the first two-plus months of the season, reality has hit hard against Boston Red Sox third baseman Travis Shaw.  Never considered a top prospect when he first arrived on the scene late in 2015, Shaw defined all projections by hitting at a very high level until the weather began heating up.  Whether it was fatigue, ill health, or more likely opposing pitchers getting a read on his approach, Shaw has been in an ugly dry spell the last few weeks.  That makes the Red Sox' move to acquire Aaron Hill from the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday no shock as the veteran will now likely man the hot corner at Shaw's expense.  With Shaw also hurting with a foot injury, expect Hill to get the majority of playing time at least for now.  This means Shaw can be cut loose in almost all fantasy baseball leagues, while Hill gets a bit of a boost operating in Fenway Park the rest of the way.
