2016 FANTASY FOOTBALL ISSUES: TOM BRADY OFFICIALLY SHELVED FOR FIRST FOUR GAMES, POTENTIAL BARGAIN IN PLAY

Repeating the same mantra as last season but this time with a firm result, New England Patriots QB Tom Brady will miss the first four games of the 2016 fantasy football season due to the suspension originally handed down over a year ago for his involvement with Deflategate.  With Brady finally accepting the suspension Friday, we now turn toward 2016 fantasy football in terms of how this impacts his value.  And it is pretty much on par with what we said prior to his suspension being overturned a year ago that Brady actually represents a big bargain at the draft table despite the fact he already is down four games.  In single-passer formats especially, Brady's drastically reduced draft price will make him a swell value play that you can snag in the middle rounds for a guy who is still a top five QB when on the field despite being 39.  There was no drop in Brady's play a year ago as he played ticked off and he should be especially amped when he returns in October.  A tremendous strategy for those who smartly wait to draft their fantasy football QB is to pair Brady with a Tony Romo, a Matt Ryan, or a Brock Osweiler as you wait for Brady to return.  That can more than keep you afloat in your league and Brady can then carry you to the title as a top value pick.
